When we collect your hard waste
Monash Council provides eligible residential properties a free hard waste collection annually.
The next collection runs from 15 July to 6 September 2024. Collections take place in a different part of Monash each week during the collection period.

Hard waste collections are for eligible residential properties only.
Residents in apartment buildings or other multi-unit dwellings may not receive an annual hard waste collection. Please check with your building's facility manager or body corporate before putting items out for collection.
For eligible properties, please make sure all items are placed out for collection by 6am of your area's start date.
Different trucks will collect your items at different times during the week.
Preparing your hard waste
About 2 weeks before your collection dates, check your mailbox for a pamphlet explaining:
- What items can and can't be collected.
- How to properly place items on the nature strip to ensure your hard waste is collected.

To keep Monash's streets as clean as possible, only put items out 2 days before your collection date.
Additional hard waste collection
You can also book an additional hard waste collection for a week that suits you. This collection is an extra service to your free hard waste collection. Costs apply and payment is required at the time of booking.
