Amendment C157: Administrative amendment to correct planning scheme anomalies for publicly owned land

This amendment proposes to make changes to the Monash Planning Scheme to fix mapping anomalies relating to parcels of public land across the municipality, reflecting their existing ownership and function.

The amendment will:

  • Rezone 181 parcels, totalling more than 43ha, of public land. The land is owned by Council, with the exception of 3 parcels owned by Melbourne Water and 1 parcel owned by VicRoads.
  • Remove the Design and Development Overlay from 3 Council-owned properties in the Glen Waverley Major Activity Centre.

The Amendment does not change the use of the land.

Current status

The proposed amendment was adopted by Council on 30 July 2024.

The amendment will now be submitted to the Minister for Planning for approval.
