The establishment of the Monash Emergency Relief Sustainability Grants 2024-25 will enable Monash’s emergency relief agencies to apply for a once‐off grant to assist with the implementation of projects that will focus on their ongoing sustainability. This may include projects such as:
- Business planning
- Strategic planning
- Succession planning
- Volunteer attraction and retention
- Website design and development
- Marketing
- Fundraising (grant seeking, writing or upskilling, but it does NOT include fundraising activities/events)
- Training for volunteers
The grant applications closed on Friday 26 July 2024.
Eligibility
To be eligible to receive an Emergency Relief Sustainability Grant, applicants must:
- Provide emergency relief and support as the primary purpose of their organisation
- Provide their services within the City of Monash boundaries
- Maintain public liability insurance cover for a minimum of $20 million
- Have no debts to Council and have completed all previous Monash funding acquittal requirements
- Be able to deliver the project by 30 June 2025
Previous funding from other Monash Council grant programs has no effect on an applicant’s eligibility to apply.
What won’t be funded
Items that are not eligible for funding in this program include:
- Activities and services that are the core business of the organisation
- Coordinator wages/salary
- Commercial/for‐profit projects/services
- Fundraising activities
- Capital infrastructure
- Gifts and prizes
- Groups who meet regularly in venues that have Electronic Gaming Machines (EGMs)
