Positive Ageing Network Forum

The Positive Ageing Network Forum brings together community leaders from several seniors groups across Monash four times a year to encourage and enable discussion, network and information sharing.

The community leaders will hear from Council with updates on topics such as halls management, community grants, event management and how these groups can work with Council on upcoming events and activities in the Positive Ageing Lifestyles program (PALS).

Responsibilities

Planning and conducting four forums a year on issues of interest to seniors living and working in the City of Monash
Contributing to Council's overall community consultation process
Considering and making recommendations to Council on policies that impact on seniors
Facilitating consultation with seniors and making recommendations to Council on a range of issues relevant to seniors
Encouraging and supporting multicultural activities as a means to promoting inclusion of CALD seniors into all spheres of activity in Monash
