16 Monash schools have signed up to the inaugural Actions for Earth: Schools Sustainability Challenge.

A Sustainable Monash initiative, the challenge is designed to encourage, acknowledge and celebrate local schools and their environmental actions.

Actions focus on general sustainability, waste and recycling, water, energy and biodiversity and gardening.

Prizes are awarded to all participating schools along with the announcement of a ‘Hero School’ who are recognised in the Monash Bulletin.

The 2024 Hero School has been awarded to Clayton North Primary School! Congratulations to our Monash Hero school, who achieved actions across all areas of sustainability with terrific support and involvement from the whole school community.

A big thank you to all schools in Monash who participated. We celebrate the environmental results that staff, student captains, green teams and families were able to achieve throughout the year.
