Eligibility

  • Participants must live, work or play in Monash.

  • You must be the owner and photographer of the submitted photograph.

  • Councillors and staff members and their families are prohibited from submitting entries and participating.

Exhibition

  • All photo submissions will be exhibited for public viewing at The Track Gallery in Mount Waverley between 22 August and 2 September 2024.

  • The purpose of the exhibition is to showcase to the community the diverse and unique wildlife that lives within Monash.

  • A selection of images that best represent the diversity of wildlife in Monash will be chosen to be displayed as prints. The remaining eligible submissions will be displayed in digital form on a projected screen.

  • Council has nominated ‘feature photographers’ to be part of the exhibition to ensure a diverse selection of wildlife can be captured and exhibited to the community.

  • Council reserves the right not to exhibit any photograph submissions if they are deemed inappropriate, outside the eligibility requirements, or of insufficient quality for print or display.

  • Upon conclusion of the gallery exhibition, photographers with printed photographs have until 23 September to collect them before prints are destroyed.
