White Card – Construction Induction (CPCWHS1001 Prepare to work safely in the construction industry)

Prepare to Work Safely in the Construction Industry, also known as the “White Card” course for Victoria, is designed to give you essential knowledge and skills to safely navigate construction environments. It is mandatory for all job roles on construction sites. .

This course covers:

duty of care
legal requirements
key safety principles
keeping yourself and others safe
hazard identification on construction sites
risk control measures
use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
safety signs & symbols
health and safety documentation
procedures for reporting incident, hazards and injuries
responding to incidents and emergencies

This is a 6-hour course delivered face-to-face on our Monash Clayton campus.

The training will include:

a powerpoint presentation by an industry professional
group discussions
Question & Answer time
hands-on, practical activities

All materials are provided in this Monash white card course. We provide all safety equipment necessary for your course including hi-vis vest and hard-hats where applicable.

You will be given safety glasses and hearing protection that are yours to keep.
