Rang Barse - Festival of Colours (Monash Holi)
Rang Barse - Festival of Colours (Monash Holi) is a Major Indian Festival. It is a traditional Hindu festival that celebrates the beginning of spring.
It is best known around the world for the coloured powder that revellers throw on each other, leaving festival goers coated in colour by the end of the day.
People in and around south-eastern suburbs will witness one of the most colourful Indian festivals on 24 March 2024 at Jells Park, Wheelers Hill.
The event will stage music, dance, DJs and colours. The festival is a true family event and welcomes all Australians, irrespective of age, colour or gender.
The theme is to bring the communities and individuals with different cultural, religious and national background to come together and enjoy the feeling of companionship and friendship by sharing the fun of colours, food, music and dances in non-discriminatory environment.
