Cat and dog vaccination with RSPCA Victoria

Ensuring your pet is vaccinated is one of the most important steps you can take to protect their health and wellbeing. For dogs, vaccinations help prevent a range of serious and potentially fatal diseases, including parvovirus, distemper and kennel cough. For cats, vaccination provides protection against feline panleukopenia, herpesvirus and calicivirus.

Council recognises the importance of vaccinations, and we want to make essential healthcare accessible to all pet owners. In partnership with RSPCA Victoria, we are offering sessions for dogs to get vaccinated with the C5 vaccine and cats with the F3 vaccine for just $20.

There are limited spots available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Bookings are essential.

Following our successful event on 13 November, where 25 dogs were health-checked and vaccinated, we have added more sessions in January 2025 - for dogs and cats.

What you need to know about eligibility

• Pets must be registered to attend
• Attendees must reside in the City of Monash

What you need to know about appointments

• Must be booked online in advance
• 1 ticket must be booked for each individual animal to allow adequate time for health checks - maximum 2 animals per person
• Pets must be secure with a lead or carrier
• Only attend the event if you and your pet are healthy and well
