Panel Event: Hostage Diplomacy and Human Rights Abuses in Iran
Join us for a panel discussion on the pressing issue of hostage diplomacy and human rights abuses in Iran, and the threat it poses to both Iranian and international citizens.
This free, in-person event brings together experts and activists including Dr. Kylie Moore-Gilbert (former hostage), Ek Taghdir (barrister), and Sara Kowal (deputy director of Eleos Justice). Panellists will explore the complexities surrounding academic freedom and the right to ask dangerous questions.
This event will highlight the cases of two academics who have been wrongfully imprisoned, Niloufar Bayani and Dr. Ahmadreza Djalali, and provide an opportunity to participate in the advocacy efforts for their release.
Don't miss this opportunity to expand your understanding of hostage diplomacy and make a real difference to those imprisoned.
