National Tree Day 2024 - Friends of Dandenong Parklands

This event is part of the countrywide National Tree Day.  

It is being conducted locally by the Friends of Dandenong Parklands, along the Dandenong Creek in Wheelers Hill.

The aim is to revegetate and increase the biodiversity in the parklands which extend between Wellington and Boronia Roads. 

Ongoing planting activities will take place over a number of years in this popular walking area. 

All trees, shrubs and grasses being planted are grown by the Friends group. 

A barbecue lunch will follow.
