  • The liver is the largest internal organ, responsible for over 500 vital functions that keep our bodies healthy.
  • Over six million Australians have been affected by liver disease at some point in their lives.
  • One in four Australians is living with fatty liver disease. It’s common in people who have diabetes and are overweight. Although it might not cause any symptoms, it can lead to significant health problems.
  • Liver cancer, often caused by chronic viral hepatitis, is the fastest-growing cause of cancer-related death in Australia.
