Jamie Aditya & Mezzrollers: Live at The Count's
Jamie Aditya is an award-winning, chart-topping TV host, actor and musician from Indonesia with a stunning array of credits. A household name in South East Asia, best known as a member of the wildly popular team of MTV ASIA VJ’s in the 1990s, Aditya has been a judge on Indonesian Idol, a host on Discovery Asia, won countless awards for his role as presenter on various stations, and starred in commercials for global advertising giants.
He won ‘Best Supporting Actor’ at the Asian Academy Creative Awards for his role as crazed assassin Kurt in HBO Asia’s 2018 mini-series Grisse and has been currently filming in Singapore for a new mini-series coming later this year. A born entertainer, Aditya’s charming and bubbly personality also comes across as a singer and musician.
Amongst critically-acclaimed festival performances at Jakarta’s Java Jazz, Soul Nation, Joyland Fest and Reform Fest, he has also featured on Rolling Stone’s Best 10 Albums of the year (Indonesia) and landed #30 spot on Billboard’s U.S. ‘Top 100 List’ in its Jazz category with an album titled Trad & Soul, recorded in Tucson, Arizona.
Aditya performs his infectious repertoire of early 20s & 30s jazz, blues and gospel with his all-star Melbourne band, the Mezzrollers, with bandleader Chris Vizard. One need only listen to Aditya’s voice to hear the influence in style and phrasing of his musical idols: Billie Holiday, Louis Armstrong and Fats Waller. Be prepared to be transported back in time to the golden age of jazz!
