The Indian Performing Arts Convention (IPAC) returns to the Alexander Theatre this September for a captivating showcase of Carnatic music and Bharatanatyam dance. IPAC celebrates creativity, featuring acclaimed artists from India, Singapore and Australia, exploring Indian classical dance and music while fostering cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Headlining the program on Saturday are the legendary violinist R K Shriramkumar, supported by Australian musicians including the Iyer brothers and Ravi M Ravichandhira; and Priyadarsini Govind, a visionary in Bharatanatyam, presenting a solo dance performance. And on Sunday, Apsaras Arts presents Agathi, a dance-theatre production exploring the plight of refugees worldwide.
IPAC is a collaboration between MPAC, The Academy of Indian Music Australia and Apsaras Arts, Singapore.
