Diwali – Festival of Light is the celebration of inner light over spiritual darkness, of knowledge over ignorance and right over wrong.It is a festive restatement of the Hindu belief that the good ultimately triumphs over evil. 

Diwali activities involve eating sweet food, lighting lamps, and bursting crackers and fireworks. Religious aspect is to commemorate the victorious return of Lord Rama to Ayodhya after saving his wife Sita from the demon king Ravana. 

Participants will  enjoy Indian food, religious rituals and the cultural program.

The icing on the cake is traditional Garba/Dandia dancing with professional DJ.

Other attractions include Indian artifacts, Diwali decorations, children toys, Indian clothes and jewellery stalls. All in all it will be a great family fun day, for all without any discrimination

Location

The venue is near Clayton Station and can be accessed by train. St Peter's Parish car park is also available.
