Throughout his career, David has used his voice as a performer to tell many First Nations stories and to share his experiences as a proud Gunditjmara and Kokatha man.

David will share this with new generations through his 2023 album, Meetra - The Ballad of James Arden, exploring the story of his great grandfather, a keeper of tribal knowledge of the Gunditjmara peoples.

Over the last 40 years, David has worked with many acclaimed Australian artists, including First Nation artists such as Hard Time Band, Archie Roach and the Altogether Band.
