Civic Gallery
Civic Gallery is a new exhibition space designed to support and showcase artists.
Located in the foyer of the Monash Civic Centre in Glen Waverley, the Civic Gallery hosts painting, photography, drawing and works on paper.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists are encouraged to apply to exhibit their artwork.

Down the Drain by Emma Winkler
Open weekdays, 8.30am – 5pm
Emma Winkler's Down the Drain exhibition presents a personal exploration of the subject of anxiety and the questions and responses it evokes, through complex paintings and hand-painted animations. Rather than shying away from negative emotions and increasing one's dread, Down the Drain explores the way accepting fear and embracing failure can be an antidote to anxiety.
Down the Drain will be on display in the Civic Gallery until Friday 14 June, with all artworks available for purchase.
Civic Gallery Expressions of Interest
We are seeking expressions of interest from artists or artist collectives to loan works for display at Civic Gallery.
This is a paid opportunity for both digital and hung artworks.
Over the next 12 months we will host 4 exhibitions, with 2 key exhibiting areas available.
Civic Gallery aims to inspire, enrich and connect our community, creating opportunities for artists of any experience level, including showcasing the work of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and culture.
