Barking dog - a sample letter to neighbour

Dear Neighbour,

I am writing to you to let you know about an issue you may be unaware of with your dog. Unfortunately, your dog is barking a lot and the noise is causing an issue for me.

 I’m not sure if you have also been approached by others in the neighbourhood who may also be affected. 

I understand there are a number of reasons why dogs may bark and that there are a number of ways to prevent the barking becoming a nuisance to others. I sought some advice from Monash Council, who have lots of information that may be of assistance to you in resolving the problem.

If there is some way I can assist, please let me know. I would prefer not to have to make a formal complaint and hope this issue can be resolved with having to take that step,
