From 12pm, 17 September until 6pm, 26 October 2024, councils across Victoria must comply with the caretaker period rules.
Beekeeping may be conducted without a planning permit provided the activity complies with the requirements of the Apiary Code of Practice 2011.

If the requirements of the code cannot be met, then a planning permit is required.
