Amendment C173

This Amendment proposes to implement the Huntingdale Precinct Plan 2023 (adopted 2020).

The Amendment will:

  • Replace the existing Design and Development Overlay (DDO1) with new Design and Development Overlays (DDO20 & DDO21) to facilitate development in industrial, commercial and mixed use areas of between 3 and 8 storeys.
  • Rezone a limited number of industrial properties within the commercial core and near the train station to the Commercial 1 Zone, and apply the Environmental Audit Overlay.
  • Rezone residential land along Huntingdale Road to the Mixed Use Zone (MUZ4).
  • Change the other residential land within the precinct boundaries to a new Schedule 12 - the General Residential Zone Schedule (GRZ12) - with no change to the existing setback and height requirements.
  • Include a new planning policy for the precinct to support decision-making.
  • Make other minor administrative and policy changes.

  • Submissions closed: Monday 1 July 2024

It is anticipated that Council will consider all submissions at the 27 August 2024 meeting and will decide whether to refer the amendment to Planning Panels Victoria. Submitters will be notified closer to the meeting date.
