This project aims to improve pedestrian access, create better outdoor dining opportunities for local businesses, and attract more visitors.
After consulting with the community in 2023 on the preliminary concept design, the design has been finalised. You can read the community feedback report on Shape Monash.
The final design delivers wider footpaths with trees and street furniture for greenery and visual appeal, a new pedestrian crossing and road humps for safety and access, more public seating and outdoor dining opportunities, and additional irrigation, landscaping and roadway reconstruction works.
Parking changes
During construction, some parking spaces in the car park outside the retail strip will be temporarily unavailable, these changes are being implemented to support efficient construction and are designed to minimise the impact to businesses and visitors.

Temporary site fencing will be installed but access to local businesses will not be affected during construction.
Works will occur during the day, with potential night works if and when required. Clear road safety and detour signage will be in place to guide visitors through any changes during construction.
