Federal Reserve Tennis Court Reconstruction

Construction works will start on 30 September 2024. We anticipate works will be completed in April 2025.

What we’re doing

  • Full reconstruction of the six tennis courts
  • New LED court lighting to meet the standards required for competition tennis
  • New chain mesh fencing around the perimeter of the courts
  • A new pathway with two shelters running north-south in between the courts
  • Tree root barriers to prevent future root damage
  • Retaining the existing acoustic wall

A tree impact assessment has been completed ensuring the design does not affect the health of the surrounding trees.

No trees will be impacted as a result of this project.

What might affect you

During the construction period, the car park off Barton Street will be closed. However, pedestrian access will remain available from the Barton Street entry point.

Residents who wish to use Federal Reserve will need to park on surrounding streets and access the reserve via the various pedestrian entry points.

The work site will be securely fenced to ensure the safety of the community
