Report incidents of race or religious discrimination/vilification
In line with Council’s commitment to multiculturalism and to the principles of human rights, access and equity and social justice, the City of Monash is hosting the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission’s Community Reporting tool on our website (please see below).
To address the challenge of under-reporting, the Commission has developed the Community Reporting tool to empower more people to report incidents of discrimination or racial or religious vilification directly to the Commission.
The Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (the Commission) is an independent statutory body, with responsibilities under the Equal Opportunity Act 2010, the Racial and Religious Tolerance Act 2001, and the Charter of Human Rights and Responsibilities Act 2006.
The Community Reporting Tool enables community members to make a short, confidential and secure report directly to the Commission. Council has no access to these reports.
