Active Monash provides a wide range of movement and fitness classes that are social, low-impact and can be adapted to suit your enjoyment and needs.
You’re never too old to enjoy the benefits of exercise.
Even small amounts of exercise can improve your health.
If you have any medical conditions or are on regular medication, we recommend getting a clearance from your doctor before commencing a new exercise program.

What is an active adults class?
Active Adults classes are low impact, social and friendly group classes, designed with older adults in mind. Music is selected with volume, speed and style in mind to create an enjoyable experience.
As we age our bodies changes, and so our exercise choices may need to change depending on health (for example, the impact of conditions such as arthritis can determine the types of exercise that are suitable). With this in mind, we have created a wide range of classes to suit everyone.
What classes are offered?
Active Monash offers a wide range of classes, from gentle water exercises to easy-to-follow aerobic routines, to classes designed to improve heart health, upper body strength and lower body endurance.
