Community Grants Program

Community festival

The Monash Community Grants Program (MCGP) provides funding to support community groups and organisations to deliver projects, activities and events to strengthen, enhance and benefit the Monash community.

Local community groups and organisations are invited to submit applications for cash and in-kind funding to support programs, services, projects and events that take place between 1 July and 30 June each year.

We are always actively looking to support projects, activities and events from a diverse range of ages, cultures, abilities, gender identities, sexual orientations, and experiences. We encourage applications from groups and organisations working with and for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, people with disabilities, and LGBTIQA+ and multicultural communities.

The 2025/26 round of the Monash Community Grants Program opens at 9am on Tuesday 28 January 2025 and closes at 2pm on Tuesday 4 March 2025.

Support for Applicants

Applicant Information and Support Sessions

Council is offering sessions to provide a one-on-one opportunity for each group to meet with a member of the Monash Community Grants Program team to ensure you have the best chance of funding.

It is important to check your eligibility and determine which category is the most appropriate to apply under.

The grants team can also provide you with advice regarding your project and application. It is not essential for applicants to attend one of these workshops, but it is essential to at least speak to a member of the grants team about a proposed application.
