What does being a Monash Ally Champion mean to you?

To me, a Monash Ally Champion is someone who is visible about the issues of equality, respect, inclusion and being free from violence by living this ethos and by listening and supporting others who have negative experiences. It’s about not having all the answers but being there to listen, support and assist with helping people find the experts to give them the information they need.

How do you think you can make an impact in your area of work?

In a practical sense, using images and language in our publications, written work and on the website and social media. By living this ethos and embedding it in the culture of my teams. I’m delighted to have teams that embrace all these aspects and are supportive of others.
