You’re invited to Rhythms of Monash!

Get along to this incredible community event featuring fun dance workshops hosted by local Monash cultural groups.

Experience first-hand the vibrant dance and colourful traditions of our multicultural community as we celebrate Cultural Diversity Week 2025.

Participate in one or all workshops to learn these traditional dance movements:

• 11am – MANASIS School of Greek Dance and Culture
• 12pm – Ghungroo Dance School
• 1pm – Manihiki Henua
• 2pm – Chinese Performing Arts Development

What to bring:

• Comfortable shoes and lightweight clothes to move and sweat in
• A water bottle

Cultural Diversity Week

Cultural Diversity Week runs from Monday 17 March to Sunday 23 March 2025.

It is a celebration that recognises our diversity and brings together Australians from all different backgrounds.

It’s about inclusiveness, respect and a sense of belonging for everyone. It is also known as Harmony Week, aligning with International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on 21 March.

Over half of our Monash community was born overseas from hundreds of countries and cultures, speaking more than 90 languages, and practices more than 40 religions.

Supporters can host or attend a Cultural Diversity Week event, wear something orange or learn more about other cultures, and speak up and stand together against racial, cultural and religious discrimination.
