VICSES (Victoria State Emergency Service) provides emergency assistance across the state 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are a volunteer-based emergency service provider and are the control agency for flood, storm, tsunami, earthquake and landslide throughout Victoria.

The Monash unit responds to emergencies within the City of Monash LGA but we also support other emergency services (Police, Fire, Ambulance) and neighbouring SES units.

Our Unit has members that are trained in general rescue skills but also specialise in a variety of specialist skills including Storm and Water, Search and Rescue, Water Rescue as well as Emergency Incident Management.

We train on Monday evenings and have members on call 24/7 to respond to emergencies. Follow us on our socials to see what we do.

If you are interested in becoming a member, we hold recruitment information sessions throughout the year.
