CSIROCare is a not-for-profit childcare centre offering early childhood education and care for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years in a caring and supportive environment. Although we are the work-based child care centre for the CSIRO in Melbourne, we also provide care for families from the wider community.

Our centre has a maximum of 69 children each day divided across five playrooms.

CSIROCare complies with all current Children’s Services legislation and maintains high standards of care, education, nutrition and health for young children. Our centre practices reflect the National Quality Framework and we currently have an overall rating of ‘Meeting’ the National Quality Standards.

We are committed to child safety

We want children to be safe, happy and empowered.

We support and respect all children, as well as our staff and volunteers.

We promote diversity and tolerance in our organisation, and people from all walks of life and cultural backgrounds are welcome. In particular, we:

  • promote the cultural safety, participation and empowerment of Aboriginal children and children from culturally and/or linguistically diverse backgrounds
  • provide a safe and equitable environment for children with a disability

We provide the Victorian Government approved Kinder Program for 3 year olds and 4 year olds.
