Review of the Monash Health and Wellbeing Partnership Plan
Monash Council plays a leading role in population health and wellbeing planning for the municipality.
Under the Victorian Health and Wellbeing Act 2008, Councils are required to prepare a Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan (MPHWP) and update it every four years.
Acknowledging the role that other organisations play in promoting the health and wellbeing of our community, we have developed a Health and Wellbeing Partnership Plan for Monash.
Here is Council's current Health and Wellbeing Partnership Plan.
The new Health and Wellbeing Partnership Plan will be for the period 2017-2021.
Have your say
Council is seeking your assistance in determining what the health and wellbeing priorities are for Monash over the next four years. The new Plan will outline the actions Council will take – alongside its partners in the health field – to foster an environment where people can lead healthy and fulfilling lives.
We want to know what is important to you:
- Should an Active & Healthy Monash focus on: exercise, healthy eating and reducing tobacco & alcohol use?
- Should an Engaged, Confident and Connected Monash focus on: positive mental health, reductions in the harm caused by gambling, embracing our diversity and fostering social inclusion?
- Should a Safe and Respectful Monash focus on: preventing violence against women, community safety and addressing race-based discrimination?
To assist in considering priorities for the Monash community, Council has prepared a number of up-to-date Fact Sheets. You may wish to read these:
