Vaccinations for Travelling Overseas
Some health problems associated with international travel are vaccine-preventable.
Travellers should consult a travel medical centre or their local doctor for a check-up and to discuss required and recommended vaccinations for specific regions, at least 6 to 12 weeks before departure.
The websites below also provide information about vaccinations, and tips for staying healthy while overseas:
Is your child travelling when due for a routine vaccination?
We give scheduled vaccines at the age-appropriate times. We are unable to give free vaccinations before the scheduled time, or outside the recommended timeframes, as it is not funded by the government, and other vaccines and advice may be necessary. If your child is travelling when due for a routine vaccination, we suggest you contact the numbers below or access private travel clinics for an appointment where you can get the appropriate service.
