Nicknamed "Big Tree," Mr Fu, empathising with elderly Chinese who felt isolated due to language barriers and lack of social connections. He used his musical and organisational skills to establish a small brass band growing it into a larger troupe with government support. The troupe performs at various community and major events, supporting causes like fundraising for the Salvation Army and entertaining at nursing homes.
