2022 Youth Leadership

Josiane Marriott 

Josie has shown great enthusiasm for volunteering since she was just nine years of age and has been an active member of Mt Waverley Girl Guides for six years and Monash Youth Ambassador for two years.

She has demonstrated outstanding commitment to both programs and has been involved in many activities, actions and projects that not only have great meaning for young people in the Monash area but also the wider Victorian community.

Josie joined the Youth Ambassadors program in 2020 and worked extremely hard on the 2021 Monash Youth Survey, particularly speaking to young people in the rainbow community to ensure that they are provided with opportunities to share their concerns and needs.

She engages in all consultation opportunities that come her way and has dedicated many hours to ensuring that the voices of young people in the Monash community are heard by Council on projects like Child Friendly City, Monash Roads, Gender Equity, Digital Strategy, Monash Boulevards and Monash Libraries.
