CSIRO Kick-Start program

The CSIRO Kick-Start program assists start-ups and small businesses in pursuing research and development activities. It provides services such as helping articulate research questions, connecting businesses with relevant CSIRO researchers and offering matched funding support ranging from $10,000 to $50,000. Projects can last up to 12 months, and eligibility is based on specific criteria.

Industry Growth Program

The Industry Growth Program supports innovative SMEs and startups during their challenging development phase. It focuses on commercialisation and growth projects in priority areas such as renewables, medical science, transport, and value-add sectors. The program aims to help businesses transform their ideas into new products, enhance market engagement, and position themselves for future investment opportunities.

Reach Trailblazer Program

Deakin University’s Reach Trailblazer Program seeks partnerships with businesses ready for research-led innovation projects aligned with their commercialisation plans. These projects should fall within the $2 million to $50 million range over the next three years, covering capital, materials, and salaries. The focus areas include energy storage, hydrogen, carbon fibre, and recycling for a circular economy. Businesses with market opportunities, breakthrough ideas, Australian teams, and a desire to pilot new technologies or scale-up are encouraged to participate.
