To celebrate International Women's Day 2023, Monash Women's Business Network attendees were able to hear from Tammy Barton, one of Australia’s most influential businesswomen and female entrepreneurs, as she shared practical advice and top tips on how to set and achieve business goals.

An ever-present challenge in business is achieving sales targets and remaining profitable. Goal setting and performance measurement are important components of staying on top of those challenges and building a resilient and long-term sustainable business.

About the presenter 

Tammy Barton knows what it takes to run a business, starting from the ground up with all its challenges and triumphs. She started MyBudget as a home-based business in 1999, and it is now a leading personal budgeting service, currently managing over one billion dollars every year on behalf of its clients. Today, the business employs more than 250 staff (across three continents) and has helped more than 130,000 clients achieve their financial goals.

Tammy is a respected authority on personal budgeting and money management, regularly featuring in the media as a personal finance expert and influential entrepreneur. She has won numerous awards throughout her career, including being a two-time winner of the Telstra South Australian Business Woman of the Year Award.
