Workplace Relations and Safety

Our purpose: We manage the workplace obligations, entitlements and relations between Monash and its employees to ensure our workplaces are safe, harmonious and compliant with workplace legislation.

The Safety Team empowers and supports the organisation to maintain a proactive safety culture. The Safety Team supports the design, development and adoption of key safety systems and practices across Monash to prevent injury and/or illness.

Workplace Relations is responsible for the management of workplace obligations between Council and employees (industrial relations), resolving employee relations matters (conduct, capacity and performance), the end-to-end management of the enterprise agreement, management of union/employee representative relationships and ensuring Council is informed and compliant in changes to workplace legislation.
