Maternal and Child Health nurses state-wide are temporarily supporting metropolitan maternity services, following the introduction of the State Government Pandemic Code Brown.

During the Code Brown, the State Government has directed all metropolitan Maternal and Child Health to pause appointments and limit services, offering visits only to young babies, and vulnerable children and families, including:

  • All infants aged 0-8 weeks
  • Aboriginal infants, children and families
  • Children and families with additional needs or concerns
  • Families in the Enhanced Maternal and Child Health Program
  • Families with COVID-19

For more information, please refer to this fact sheet from the Victorian Government:

How long will the restricted workload apply?

We expect that services to Maternal and Child Health could be impacted for 6 weeks in total, however a review will take place at week four.

This page will remain updated for families noting when the above service will be resumed. The Monash MCH service will also contact all families to reschedule their missed appointment.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we strive to support our community and beyond.
