We are chasing a story today about Acknowledgement of Country. Two South Australian councils will no longer read the Acknowledgement of Country at every meeting.

Is this something Monash Council has discussed or may consider in future?

Response

Monash has a commitment to acknowledging our Traditional Owners at Council meetings, events and other gatherings. This commitment is outlined in our Reconciliation Action Plan and we have no plans to change this.
