Shaped by hundreds of conversations with people who live and work in Monash, eight meetings with our advisory committees and a deliberative engagement process with a community panel, we know that our community’s vision is for Monash to be the most liveable city in Victoria by 2040.

We share this goal, but it will take a lot of work and planning in partnership with our community to achieve.

After extensive community consultation with our community in 2024, we’ve drafted a set of key plans and strategies to guide Monash Council for the next four years and beyond. And now we want your feedback to make sure we got them right.

These strategies and plans include:

  • Our Community Vision to guide Council’s decision-making and respond to the community’s long-term aspirational needs.
  • Council Plan 2025-2029 to set the strategic objectives, strategies and indicators that will guide Council towards supporting our Community Vision.
  • Health and Wellbeing Plan 2025-2029 to identify health priorities for Council to consider in future planning.
  • Rating and Revenue Plan 2025-2029 to identify a revenue and rating approach for Council to ensure financial sustainability.
  • Asset Plan 2025-2035 to set a framework for how we oversee and upkeep our infrastructure and other assets.

Visit shape.monash.vic.gov.au/vision before 4 May to provide feedback on the plans and strategies and learn more about the consultation process that has informed them.
