Join Bioblitz in September!
Published on 14 September 2022
During the whole month of September, Monash Council is joining neighbouring councils in a Biodiversity Blitz!
A Biodiversity Blitz is an event that focuses on identifying as many indigenous species as possible within a specific area.
The purpose of the Biodiversity Blitz is to gather as much information as possible about the plants, wildlife and insects that live in our local area.
The information gathered will go a long way to help us build a more complete picture of biodiversity in Monash.
The Biodiversity Blitz will allow you to gain skills, knowledge and insights into the local environmental and develop a deep connection to the local environment.
Being involved in this year's Biodiversity Blitz is easy! Download the iNaturalist App onto your phone or other device and start taking photos. Every observation you make on iNaturalist in the Monash area during September will go towards the count.
