We are making some exciting changes to the Glen Waverley library forecourt to make it a more welcoming and inviting space for our community.

The improvement works will include:

  • Installation of synthetic turf to create a more attractive space
  • Bright directional signage applied to pavers to draw people into and through the space
  • Pruning and tidying up of garden beds
  • Removal of hedges, conifers and bollards to provide greater visibility and connection between the outdoor space

The works are expected to take about two weeks and will begin in June 2019. Pedestrian access will still be available to the Glen Waverley Library and Monash Civic Centre.

The works follow previous improvements in the forecourt which included outdoor umbrellas, cafe-style furniture and the addition of a ping pong table.

These refurbishments have proved very popular, with people enjoying spending time in the area eating at the tables and meeting up with friends and work colleagues.

We hope the new works will encourage the community to linger in the forecourt space and enjoy the amenity.
