City of Monash annual hard waste underway

Monash Council provides eligible residential properties a free hard waste collection annually.
Collection is underway and will run from 15 July to 6 September 2024. Collections take place in a different area of Monash each week during this period.

Find your hard waste collection date
Hard waste collections are for eligible residential properties only.
Residents in apartment buildings or other multi-unit dwellings may not receive an annual hard waste collection. Please check with your building's facility manager or body corporate before putting items out for collection.
For eligible properties, please make sure all items are placed out for collection by 6am of your area's start date.
Different trucks will collect your items at different times during the week.
What items are accepted
About 2 weeks before your collection date, check your mailbox for a pamphlet explaining:
- What items can and can't be collected.
- How to properly place items on the nature strip to ensure your hard waste is collected.

Additional hard waste collection
You can also book an additional hard waste collection for a week that suits you. This collection is an extra service to your free hard waste collection. Costs apply and payment is required at the time of booking.

Frequently Asked Questions
I live in an apartment and didn't receive a pamphlet
Pamphlets are delivered to eligible properties. If you live in an apartment or multi-unit dwelling, your property may not receive an annual hard waste collection. Please check with your building's facility manager or body corporate before putting items out for collection.
I can't see my collection date when I search my address
If you do not see a date when you search for your address on our website, your hard waste collection is finishing or has already finished for this year.
You can also pay for an additional hard waste collection for a week that suits you. For more information, visit Additional hard waste collection.
