Bogong Avenue Car Park – Ramp Closure
Published on 25 May 2022
We’re carrying out investigation works at the Bogong Avenue car park in Glen Waverley.
Structural testing will continue next week and will include taking concrete samples from the car park’s columns and ramp.
Works have been scheduled for Monday 30 May, Tuesday 31 May and Wednesday 1 June between 5am and 8.30am.
The ramp will be unavailable for 3 ½ hours and the upper levels of the car park will not be accessible during that time.
Parking on the ground floor will still be available and will also be available close by at the Euneva and Glendale Street car parks.
When geotechnical and structural engineers have finished taking samples, the ramps will re-open and upper level parking will again be available for the rest of the day.
Investigation work will continue in the car park after that time with some spaces cordoned-off while scanning is occurring. Some noise is anticipated during the works.
We’re preparing design options to extend the car park and the design process includes investigating the geotechnical and structural conditions of the site and car park building. This is vital to the design process, to confirm site conditions and the structural integrity of the car park building to sustain further development.
