2020 Council election results

Three first-time Councillors have been elected to Monash Council for the 2020-2024 Council term, alongside eight returning Councillors, in the October Council elections.

The Victorian Electoral Commission determined the election results on Thursday 5 November.

 

The following Councillors have been elected:

Glen Waverley Ward

Councillor Geoff Lake 

Councillor Nicky Luo

Mount Waverley ward

Councillor Anjalee de Silva

Councillor Brian Little

Councillor Rebecca Paterson

Mulgrave ward

Councillor Paul Klisaris

Councillor Shane McCluskey

Councillor Tina Samardzija

Oakleigh ward

Councillor Josh Fergeus

Councillor Stuart James

Councillor Theo Zographos

The first-time Councillors elected for the four year term are:

Councillor Anjalee de Silva (Mount Waverley ward)

Councillor  Nicky Luo (Glen Waverley ward)

Councillor Tina Samardzija (Mulgrave ward).

A meeting of Council that is additional to the meetings scheduled for 2020, has been called and is to be held in the Council Chambers, 293 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley, at 7pm, on 10 November 2020, for:

  • Swearing in of the new Council for 2020-2024
  • The election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for 2020-2021 (or the setting of the date for the election of the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for 2020-2021)

Social distancing requirements will apply to this meeting. Under COVID restrictions, public attendance at this meeting is not permitted.
