Special Meeting of Council - Monash festivals and events

A Special Meeting of Monash Council has been called in accordance with the provisions of section 84 of the Local Government Act 1989.

This meeting was held in the Council Chambers (293 Springvale Road, Glen Waverley) at 7.30pm on Tuesday 20 February 2018. 

The purpose of the meeting was to clarify:

  1. Council’s guidelines for stallholders and speakers at Monash festivals and events applies to both Council presented and sponsored events and festivals; and
  2. Balloons, bags, stickers or politically partisan pamphlets (or other promotional material of this nature) should not be issued by political parties, candidates or members of parliament.
