There are several environmental friends groups in Monash that work to protect and maintain bush and parkland areas.

Friends of Damper Creek Conservation Reserve

This environmental group is involved in protecting, maintaining and improving bushland reserve around Damper Creek in Mount Waverley.

Friends of Scotchmans Creek and Valley Reserve

This environmental group is involved in protecting, maintaining and improving bushland reserves around Scotchmans Creek and Valley Reserve. The group's particular area of interest is the Scotchmans Creek Linear Park from its commencement, by the side of Waverley Road near Montague Street in Glen Waverley, downstream to Stanley Avenue Mount Waverley and the Valley Reserve in Mount Waverley.

This group works closely with Parks Victoria. Friends of Dandenong Valley Parklands operates in the area between Wellington Road and Boronia Road, along the eastern boundary of the City of Monash.
