The Committee will assist Council to make the most of current and future opportunities for improving the amenity and liveability of Clayton as a place to work, rest, study and play.

It is important for Council as a land owner and the local planning authority to take a coordinated approach and ensure that the Clayton Activity Centre can continue to grow and be vibrant.

The Committee provides high level advice and input into major projects and Council strategies in Clayton, including implications for Council arising from the Suburban Rail Loop project in Clayton and Monash University and be a conduit for consultation and engagement between Council and the Clayton Traders Association, local residents and other traders and key stakeholders in Clayton.
