Council's Advisory Committees play a vital role in providing community insights, sharing lived experience and offering ongoing feedback on the work of Council. Our committees also help to guide the implementation of the Monash Health and Wellbeing Plan 2021-2025.
The Advisory Committee Governance Rules should be read in the context of and in conjunction with the Policy for Advisory Committees and the Conflicts of Interest Policy for Advisory Committee Members.

The Conflict of Interest for Advisory Committees Policy sets out the obligations of non-councillor members of Council’s Advisory Committees with respect to the identification and disclosure of conflicts of interest.

Council undertook an 18-month trial of a Junior Advisory Group giving primary school students the opportunity to be active citizens and engage with Council. More information: Junior Advisory Group
Museum of Australian Photography (MAPh) Committee of Management
At its 28 April 2020 meeting, Council decided to dissolve the Monash Community Grants Program Evaluation Panel.
Monash Health and Wellbeing Partnership Plan Steering Committee worked on a fixed-term project to develop A Healthy and Resilient Monash Integrated Plan 2017-2021.
Monash Community Safety Special Advisory Committee worked on a fixed-term project of about six months (launched in November 2017).
