Our first LGBTIQA+ Action Plan builds on Council’s commitment to LGBTIQA+ inclusion and provides a framework and actions to better understand and respond to the experiences and priorities of LGBTIQA+ communities in Monash. The LGBTIQA+ Action Plan was launched on 25 March 2023 at Active Monash's annual Pride event, Active Pride.

About the Project
The Plan was developed in close collaboration with Council’s LGBTIQA+ Advisory Committee, with input from our community through consultation.
As the closest level of government to the community, Council has an important role in celebrating diversity, encouraging social inclusion and ensuring equity, safety and access across Monash for everyone, regardless of sexuality, sex characteristics or gender identity.
