Domestic Animal Management Plan

This Domestic Animal Management Plan has been prepared to provide a strategic framework to the City of Monash for policy direction and action plans related to animal management during the four-year period to 2025.

Council has a dual role of enforcing relevant State legislation and its own Local Laws together with educating our community on issues of animal management and responsibilities associated with pet ownership.

The Plan aims to integrate best practice in domestic animal management with Council's priorities for actions to be undertaken during the period 2021-2025.
